Oracle Autonomous Database Service

Oracle Autonomous Database Service is a fully managed, preconfigured database environment. It delivers automated patching, upgrades, and tuning while handling routine maintenance on the OCI side.

The published v2 surface uses apiVersion: database.oracle.com/v1beta1 and kind: AutonomousDatabase. The legacy handwritten AutonomousDatabases compatibility resource is no longer part of the supported surface.

If arePrimaryWhitelistedIpsUsed is 'TRUE' then Autonomous AI Database uses this primary's IP access control list (ACL) for the disaster recovery peer called standbywhitelistedips. For Autonomous AI Database Serverless, this is an array of CIDR (classless inter-domain routing) notations for a subnet or VCN OCID (virtual cloud network Oracle Cloud ID). Multiple IPs and VCN OCIDs should be separate strings separated by commas, but if it’s other configurations that need multiple pieces of information then its each piece is connected with semicolon (;) as a delimiter. timeScheduledDbVersionUpgrade The date and time the Autonomous AI Database scheduled to upgrade to 26ai. string No
timeUndeleted The date and time the Autonomous AI Database was most recently undeleted. string No
timeUntilReconnectCloneEnabled The time and date as an RFC3339 formatted string, e.g., 2022-01-01T12:00:00.000Z, to set the limit for a refreshable clone to be reconnected to its source database. string No
totalBackupStorageSizeInGBs The backup storage to the database. number No
usedDataStorageSizeInGBs The storage space consumed by Autonomous AI Database in GBs. integer No
usedDataStorageSizeInTBs The amount of storage that has been used for Autonomous AI Databases in dedicated infrastructure, in terabytes. integer No
vanityConnectionUrls AutonomousDatabaseVanityConnectionUrls defines nested fields for AutonomousDatabase.VanityConnectionUrls. object No
vanityUrlDetails AutonomousDatabaseVanityUrlDetails defines nested fields for AutonomousDatabase.VanityUrlDetails. object No
vaultId The OCID (https://docs.oracle.com/iaas/Content/General/Concepts/identifiers.htm) of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure vault (https://docs.oracle.com/iaas/Content/KeyManagement/Concepts/keyoverview.htm#concepts). This parameter and secretId are required for Customer Managed Keys. string No
whitelistedIps The client IP access control list (ACL). This feature is available for Autonomous AI Database Serverless (https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/autonomous-database/index.html) and on Exadata Cloud@Customer. Only clients connecting from an IP address included in the ACL may access the Autonomous AI Database instance. Example: ["1.1.1.1","1.1.1.0/24","ocid1.vcn.oc1.sea.<unique_id>","ocid1.vcn.oc1.sea.<unique_id1>;1.1.1.1","ocid1.vcn.oc1.sea.<unique_id2>;1.1.0.0/16"] For Exadata Cloud@Customer, this is an array of IP addresses or CIDR notations. Example: ["1.1.1.1","1.1.1.0/24","1.1.2.25"] For an update operation, if you want to delete all the IPs in the ACL, use an array with a single empty string entry. This cannot be updated in parallel with any of the following: licenseModel, dbEdition, cpuCoreCount, computeCount, computeModel, adminPassword, isMTLSConnectionRequired, openMode, permissionLevel, dbWorkload, dbVersion, isRefreshable, dbName, scheduledOperations, dbToolsDetails, isLocalDataGuardEnabled, or isFreeTier. list[string] No

Update Behavior

Update the same AutonomousDatabase resource by changing OCI-supported mutable fields on the generated spec and reapplying the manifest with kubectl apply -f <UPDATE_YAML>.yaml.

The v2 surface keeps Secret-backed spec.adminPassword.secret.secretName and also supports spec.secretId for OCI Vault-backed password material.

Existing Resource and Wallet Notes

The retired bind-and-wallet shortcut from the compatibility runtime is not part of the generated v2 path. Use the generated AutonomousDatabase resource for lifecycle management, then use the dedicated wallet resources when wallet artifacts are required.

Checked-in wallet samples:

  • config/samples/database_v1beta1_autonomousdatabasewallet.yaml
  • config/samples/database_v1beta1_autonomousdatabaseregionalwallet.yaml
