With the Archive Helper Tool, you can display the contents of an archive file, add, update, extract, and remove files, as needed.
Use the Archive Helper Tool -help
option to display its commands.

Each command takes a subcommand, which may require one or more command-line options.
For each command, use the -help
option for usage information about its subcommands.
For example, to display the subcommands of the archiveHelper
add
command:
$ <wls-deploy-home>/bin/archiveHelper.sh add -help
This will result in the following output:
Add items to the archive file.

To display the command-line options for the archiveHelper
add application

$ <wls-deploy-home>/bin/archiveHelper.sh add application -help
This will result in the following output:
Add application to the archive file.

-archive_file=<archive_file> -source=<path>
Command-line options:
-archive_file=<archive_file>
Path to the archive file to use.
-overwrite Overwrite the existing entry in the archive file, if any
-source=<path> File system path to the application to add
-help Get help for the archiveHelper add application subcommand

list application
: List the applications in the archive file.
$ <wls-deploy-home>/bin/archiveHelper.sh list application -archive_file=C:\temp\archive-helper-test.zip
add application
: Update an existing application in the archive.
$ <wls-deploy-home>/bin/archiveHelper.sh add application -archive_file=C:\temp\archive-helper-test.zip -source=C:\temp\my-app.war -overwrite
NOTE: Without the -overwrite
option, the application gets added to the archive with a numerical suffix.
The following environment variables may be set.
JAVA_HOME
The location of the JDK. This must be a valid Java 7 or later JDK.Since the Archive Helper Tool is written in Java without using WLST, the JAVA_HOME
will be the JDK used to execute
the command (unlike other tools that use WLST).
